MANAGEMENT POLICY AND COMMITMENT
- The safety and health of the workers will be guaranteed by avoiding, combating, and reporting on present risks.
- The following general principles of preventive action are adopted:
- Avoid risks.
- Evaluate unavoidable risks.
- Combat risks at their source.
- Adapt the work to the individual.
- Take technical evolution into account.
- Replace the dangerous.
- Plan prevention.
- Prioritize collective protection over individual protection.
- Provide appropriate instructions to workers.
- The assignment of tasks to workers will take into consideration their capabilities regarding health and safety.
- Only workers who have received sufficient information will be allowed to access areas of serious and specific risk, and the corresponding specific work permit must be issued beforehand.
- The effectiveness of preventive measures must foresee distractions or non-reckless imprudence that the worker might commit. Their adoption will take into account any additional risks that certain preventive measures might imply, which may only be adopted when the magnitude of such risks is substantially lower than those intended to be controlled, and no safer alternatives exist.
- Preventive action will be planned based on a risk assessment.
- Work equipment will be suited and adapted to the individuals.
- Necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
- Workers will be informed about existing risks and the preventive measures adopted.
- Workers may participate and will be consulted on all business aspects relating to health and safety.
- Workers will be trained in occupational risk prevention.
- An emergency plan will be established, where applicable, and necessary measures will be adopted in the event of a serious and imminent risk situation.
- Periodic health surveillance of workers will be guaranteed.
- The necessary documentation will be prepared and maintained.
- Preventive activities will be coordinated when other companies are present at the workplace.
- A summary statement from company management regarding the corporate policy on occupational risk prevention will be publicly displayed.
